Rock Island city council and planning meetings moving County Building during renovations

With renovations to Rock Island City Hall set to begin April 1, City Council meetings and study sessions will move into the County Board Room starting Monday.

The County Board Room is located on the third floor of the County Office Building at 1504 3rd St. The building is right next to Rock Island City Hall.

The city’s permits and inspections service counter has been moved to the third floor of City Hall. The offices of the city clerk, mayor and city manager have moved to the east side of the building and can be accessed through the 16th Street

Golf Business News – Colonial Country Club Announces Multi-Million Dollar Course Renovation

Colonial Country Club in Fort Myers, Fla. (pictured) will undergo a full golf course renovation beginning April 1, 2025. Members recently approved the multi-million dollar project that will focus on enhancing the overall golf experience for members and visitors, including improving playability, aesthetics, and sustainability.

The club has teamed up with Gordon Lewis, the course’s original architect, to lead the renovation. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2025, with an anticipated grand reopening celebration to showcase the enhanced facilities.
